Levi Hummon made his imprint on the Nashville community before he realized the extent of his craft. Born and raised in Music City, Levi was surrounded by music greats. Even though he studied painting in college, he was being drawn back to his dormant musical talents – singing and songwriting. At the close of a significant relationship, Levi began to explore songwriting as a way to navigate his life and relationships. Soon after, Levi realized his need to return home in order to turn this newfound hobby into a reality. Learning to always bring his distinctive ideas and concepts to a writing session, Levi quickly streamlined his unique style.

You’re letting someone into your world which is really vulnerable, he says. I write from a reflective & personal place. Most of the time, I couldn’t see anyone else singing these songs because they reflect my life.

Once he moved back to Nashville, Levi continued to develop his personal sound, often with the help of his father, Grammy-Award winning songwriter Marcus Hummon. He then started finding himself working with notable songwriters such as Shane MacAnally, Andrew Dorff, Josh Osborne, Jimmy Robbins, Jonathan Singleton, Nathan Barlowe, Brandy Clark and Trevor Rosen, among many others. Levi also wrote with legendary entertainer Steven Tyler on the rocker’s past single Red, White and You,which hit #1 in Italy. Over the years, Levi’s collaborations led the Nashville native to team up with notable producers, Chris Destefano, Shane McAnally, Desmond Child, and Jimmy Robbins.

Levi has a way of grabbing your attention from the very first note, Robbins shared.I knew from our first session that he had a voice that was going to matter for Country music. He was born into songwriting and you can tell that when you work with him. His instincts are a great combination of commercial and artistic that make his music feel important and weighted while still feeling light and fun.

As one of Entertainment Weekly’s 5 Artists Breaking Now, Levi spent the year creating new music and independently releasing his first two singles, Don’t Waste the Night and Stupid. Collectively, both songs streamed over 11 million streams in less than a year with Stupid being featured as an exclusive Amazon Weekly One track. Amidst a year of new music, Levi had his first international appearance in the U.K. and Canada on the CMA Songwriters Series with fellow writers, Marcus Hummon, Michael Tyler, Brandy Clark, Angaleena Presley, & Lindsay Ell. At the end of 2017, Levi teamed up with his dad Marcus Hummon and Grammy-Award winning songwriter Tom Douglas, to pen one of Hummon’s most heart-felt projects to-date, Love Heals.

Featuring family friend and bluegrass-country icon, Alison Krauss, the song pays homage to his mother Becca Steven’s local charity, Thistle Farms -and offers the message of hope and redemption to listeners. Levi’s been busy on the road touring with the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, Billy Currington, Hunter Hayes, Sam Hunt, Kip Moore; closing 2017 as support on Eli Young Band’s Fingerprints Tour.
