LEAD SINGER - MANDOLIN - GUITAR
Award winning Recording Artist, Songwriter,
Producer and Musician. One listen to Herrick and
you will be won over by Donna’s innovative sound.
From the Pacific Northwest to Music Row, the talk
is always the same...“It's Donna Herrick’s soulful unique voice that sets
her apart from the rest...she is the real deal!”
With a Powerhouse vocal compared
to the likes of Ann Wilson, Donna bridges the gap of where country music has been and where it is going. A mixed musical style all her own that is fresh, original and sounds unlike any other. A voice that is heartfelt, truly distinct; a not so easy task in a town filled with
formula-driven acts…
Learning to play the mandolin on her own, Donna never took lessons and does not read music. Creating a mandolin playing style all her own. No stranger to the recording studio she has worked with multiple platinum awards winning producers Buddy Cannon (Kenny Chesney), Mark Bright (Rascal Flatts), Chuck Howard (Leann Rimes), Michael Bonagura (Baillie and the Boys), Ron "Snake" Reynolds and more. She is an awarding winning producer in her own right.
Writing with Nashville’s elite songwriters: Walt Aldridge (Earl Thomas Conley's “Holding Her and Loving You”) Monty Holmes (George Strait’s “When Did You Stop Loving Me”, Lee Ann Womack's “Never Again, Again”), Karen Staley (``Tracy Byrd’s “The Keeper of the Stars``, Faith Hill’s ``Take Me as I Am``), Alex Harvey (``Tanya Tucker’s “Delta Dawn``, Kenny Roger’s ``Reuben James``) and Craig Wiseman (Tim McGraw’s ``Live Like You Were Dying``, Blake Shelton’s ``Boys 'Round Here``) to name a few... Donna creates music on instinct and feel, rather than calculation.
Donna's powerful vocals, pummeling mandolin riffs, and swaggering attitude, sounds a bit like what might have happened had Led Zeppelin been fronted by ``a chick.`` A true blend of elements that made other powerhouse artists great.
A unique sound that is strictly Herrick.
VOCALS - BASS GUITAR - HARMONICA
His family history runs deep in the backwoods of pure southern Arkansas.
Kerry Herrick comes from a long line of musical tradition. A Singer-songwriter, producer and Musician.
At the age of nine he picked up his first guitar and started playing along with his family. With a strong family history
in southern gospel, it was not long before Kerry took to his own musical path. With musical influences from Kristofferson and
Haggard to Eagles and Zeppelin,
he developed a writing style all his own. Married to Donna at 16, they together made their move to Nashville and have been fortunate enough to perform with legends like George Jones, Kenny Chesney, Hank Williams Jr.,
along with acts such as, Zac Brown Band, Miranda Lambert, to name a few. A versatile musician, Kerry lays down a firm bass foundation. His harmony surrounds Donna's voice to create the unmistakable Herrick vocal sound.
DRUMS and PERCUSSION
"It's all about getting a reaction...and the best way to do that is to do the unexpected." -Richie Rivera
Since the moment he burst onto the scene, doing the unexpected has been the hallmark of Richie Rivera, who has been hailed by Music Connection as "one of the most exciting drummers around." From adrenalin-inducing hard rock backbeats to tasteful pop accompaniment to mind-bending jazz fusion to show-stopping musical theater, Richie's unique blend of flamboyant showmanship and technical mastery have captured the attention of audiences and the industry alike. "Having those influences allows me to throw flavors of one genre into another," he notes. "In music, the greatest sin is to be boring...and I'm anything but that!"
A dynamic performer and natural entertainer, Richie's inherent star quality and high-energy stage presence makes him a standout in front of a live audience. Behind the flurry of spinning sticks is a huge, ear-to-ear smile that radiates all the way to the back row. "That smile is genuine," he points out, "because life to me is just the space between shows, so each moment on stage is a tremendous release."
While he began studying drums at age 11 and was doing session work before he was old enough to drive, it wasn't long before Richie discovered his other great passion in life: songwriting. He made his songwriting debut with the band Blurred Vision, featuring a then-unknown Adam Levine (Maroon 5), and went on to write for the progressive rock band 9 Miles, The Cranberries-ensue Rain Chequeen and then ultimately for melodic rock sensation Madison Paige, with whom Richie's songs received airplay all over the world, including on L.A. radio giant 95.5 KLOS.
Now recently relocated to Nashville, TN, Richie has become The dynamic anchor in the band Herrick. Touring and session drummer. Whether it's Hard Rock, Adult Contemporary, R&B or Modern Country, Richie is always looking to create a moment. "As a listener, I'm always waiting for that hook that takes you out of where you are and puts you in the song," he observes. "That's what I'm aiming for, both as a writer and a performer."
