Roger Cook called up a few of his friends – Pat Alger, Gary Burr & Georgia Middleman, Dickey Lee, Earl Bud Lee, Richard Lee, Billy Prine, and Leslie Satcher – and asked them to join him in a benefit concert for Our Place Nashville.  Roger and his friends are some of Nashville’s most successful songwriters: Pat Alger, Gary Burr & Georgia Middleman, Dickey Lee, Earl Bud Lee, Richard Lee, Billy Prine, and Leslie Satcher.  Tonight’s line-up has some of the very best singer-songwriters in town. FIVE are members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. They have written #1 hit after #1 hit, including “I Believe in You,” “The Thunder Rolls,” "Unanswered Prayers," “What Mattered Most,” “She Thinks I Still Care,” "Friends in Low Places," and “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.”   Their songs have been recorded not only by country’s top artists (Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McIntyre, Blake Shelton, George Jones, Tim McGraw), but some of the most storied artists in the world (James Taylor, Carole King, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, Michael Bolton, Joe Cocker, Ray Charles . . . even Elvis Presley).
