Mike Hicks is an unique blend of talent and humility rarely found in today’s emerging talent. As an artist, writer, and performer, Mike is revered as one of the best in the diverse Funk and Soul music scene in Nashville and beyond. When he’s not writing and performing his own original music, Hicks is on the road touring with country music superstars, Rascal Flatts. International touring with Keb Mo, Jonny Lang and others has lent him years of maturity that most young artists rarely experience. His Freshman album, This Is Life, highlights the talents of his writing ability, the moral message of his music, and the production talents of both himself and James Waddell. The album is brought to life by his incredible (18 pieces at it’s fullest) band.  This interesting blend of influences and experiences have made him “the” artist to watch in Nashville. Mike is currently in the thick of production of his sophomore album, due in 2019.

Kyshona Armstrong

Named by NPR as “One of the most compassionate and uplifting young voices in Nashville today”, Kyshona has always lent her voice and music to those that feel they have been silenced  or forgotten.

She began her career as a music therapist, working in mental health hospitals and correctional facilities, using music to redirect behaviors and emotions and writing her first songs with patients and inmates. Kyshona soon found the need to write music independently and explore her own writing voice. This eventually brought her to Nashville where she dove into the co-writing culture of the town. Audiences will often find a common thread of overcoming, hope, and empowerment in her songwriting and storytelling.

Kyshona’s music has been heard on prime time television’s Criminal Minds, Salvation, Conviction and Midnight Texas. She has recorded with Grammy Award winning producer, Paul Worley (Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Big and Rich), Jamie Lidell (Jamie Lidell, Allen Stone) and Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Margo Price, AHI).

Kyshona has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Wynonna Judd, Lake Street Dive, John Oates, Meiko, Margo Price, JD McPherson, Anthony David, Cracker, and many more.

The Kyshona Armstrong Trio features Maureen Murphy (Zac Brown Band, STS9, GRiZ) and Christina Harrison on vocals. With the stylistic influence of the gospel quartet, the trio mixes the smoothness of the 60s girl group with the confidence of the Staples Singers and The Pointer Sisters to convey messages of unity, solace, reflection and encouragement.
