Gert Arwood & the Centennials is a brand-new funk/soul collective primarily based out of Nashville, TN. The group was founded in late 2021 and is made up of young, seasoned sideman musicians who play frequently with the new school of Nashville’s music scene. Gert Arwood, the group’s frontman, is an up-and-coming bassist and singer-songwriter who has performed with the likes of Ben Rector, Carter Faith, Claire Ernst, and countless others. Arwood’s goal with this band is to speak about his experiences of life, love, and loss through the lens of funk and soul music, but at its core, the Centennials has always been just a bunch of friends jamming and creating cool songs together! The group’s debut single is expected to release late 2022/early 2023, with a debut LP releasing in summer 2023.

Nashville Native Pop singer, Maggie James, describes her music as a powerful groove. Maggie is working on new music now, that tells a truthful story that can be relatable to all.  Heavily influenced by funk and female artists such as Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse, and Calvin Harris, Maggie  is making music that makes you want to dance. Playing her first show in 2 years, James has a catalog of music just waiting to come out. Growing up with 2 brothers meant always trying to be the star of the show and that plays a major role in her love to perform. Maggie was diagnosed with alopecia 2 years ago and is outspoken about the rollercoaster of emotions that the diagnosis brings to her life and channels that into her music.
