Annie and the Big Band Christmas - Annie Sellick benefits Alive
Mon December 23, 2019 7:30 pm (Doors: 6:00 pm )
3rd and Lindsley
All Ages
$25.00
Jazz lovers at 3rd and Lindsley will be ringing in the holidays this year in a big, big way with Nashville’s own, vocalist and performer extraordinaire, Annie Sellick!  Annie will be introducing her new show; Annie and The Big Band on December 23rd.  Not your average Christmas show by any standard, Annie and The Big Band Christmas will be dishing out a night of swinging seasonal classics, locally arranged, and holiday goodies that will keep you in the spirit well beyond Christmas morning!  Sellick will be joined in the sleigh by her newest configuration, an 18-piece ensemble featuring fingerstyle champion, Richard Smith on guitar, Roy Agee on trombone, and saxophonists, Don Aliquo and Jeff Coffin.  With a double sprinkle of Christmas spirit, this show serves a greater purpose by benefitting Alive Hospice, an organization that is close to Annie’s heart and where she volunteers year round!  Be a part of the seasonal magic that is sure to touch hearts long after the tree is down.
Nashville native vocalist Annie Sellick was voted Best Jazz Artist by readers of the Nashville Scene five years in a row, and has since toured all over the world and performed and/or recorded with many of her musical heroes including Mark O’Connor’s Hot Swing, Tommy Emmanuel and jazz organ royalty Joey DeFrancesco. She assembles bands ranging from jazz trios and sextets to Hot Club swing, and is excited to present her big band.
“Annie Sellick is very much a jazz singer, who focuses on the music, but she is also a storyteller and her rendition of emotionally complex songs is masterful...she is also a stunning visual performer.”
— Critic Roger Crane L.A. Jazz Scene
